Building Multimodal Chart Accessibility for Blind and Low-Vision individuals in the Prompt-Driven Era

Problem. As prompt-driven tools generate charts instantly, they can also “automate inaccessibility” unless accessibility metadata (alt-text, sonification mappings, tactile-ready layers) is produced at the same time as the visual chart.

Core idea. Treat alternative representations as first-class outputs (“born-accessible” systems), so changes in data or filters stay semantically aligned across visual, tactile, and auditory representations.
